About Eugene Traboulsi
Eugene is a psychotherapist who practices a range of therapeutic models including CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Person Centred Therapy, to individuals and families facing challenging times over his two decades of experience. Known by his colleagues for his natural intuition and soulful spirit, he brings authenticity, genuineness, expertise and professionalism to his work, both in-person and online. Whilst working with individuals with mental health concerns can be a challenging process for the client, Eugene brings a softness and sense of humour to his clinic room where appropriate. This has been a very valuable asset when working with children and young people.
Eugene strives to subscribe to a compassionate and collaborative approach, which emerged during his time as a Professional Mental Health Social Worker. This means that each person is part of their own treatment plan and hold an integral part in the transformation of change that occurs throughout the therapeutic process. Thus, ‘meeting the client where they’re at’ means embracing a variety of appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual.
Throughout his career Eugene has worked in a diverse range of professional settings, including government and non-government organisations. His extensive experience in the field of mental health and dual diagnosis spans both clinical and non-clinical roles. This breadth of experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health issues. Eugene sees adolescents, adults and families with a wide range of mental health issues, including; anxiety conditions, depression and self-harm, suicidal thoughts, grief, gender, identity and body image concerns, self-esteem, addictions, relationship issues and gambling.
In 2009, Eugene obtained his Bachelor of Social Work from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. Following his graduation, he became an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), licensed by the Australian Association of Social Workers, and established a successful full-time private practice in Australia. Over the years, he has honed his skills in utilising evidence-based strategies to support both youth and adults facing a wide range of presenting issues.
Eugene’s unwavering dedication to supporting individuals in their journey toward well-being is evident in his diverse and extensive experience. With a compassionate and empowering approach, he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those he works with.
